wood veneer office furniture A Buyers Guide to Wood Veneer Office Furniture
The vast majority of business furniture nowadays is made from wood or fibre boards with a melamine or similar laminate finish. Recent innovations mean that this looks just as good as the real thing and is also more hard-wearing and virtually maintenance free. However, there are situations where the real thing is required, for example in a high class executive office, in a FTSE 100 company boardroom or in a five-star hotel reception area.
CH Workspace is an furniture dealer who can supply these products. We have a number of real wood veneer business furniture options which are explained below:
We stock a number of wood veneer products, ranging from the contemporary Times Square and Noveo ranges through to the more classic Fascineo and Cambridge ranges. The advantage of choosing a product from stock is that you can have it delivered and installed in as little as five working days, but the disadvantage is that what you see is what you get – there is no opportunity to make changes to dimensions, finishes etc.
Times Square is a range of executive desks and storage units with a strong, square contemporary look. The 80cm desktops and slab legs are veneered in European Oak, stained to give a natural or dark oak finish. There is a wide range of returns and cabinets which allow you to design the executive office of your choice. A standard desk is in the region of £2,000.
Noveo is a mix and match range of executive business furniture which blends wood veneer with frosted and laminated toughened glass desktops. The wood veneer is oak, stained in a natural light oak or wenge dark oak finish. The legs are either wood or aluminium square legs in each corner, with a metal support frame. In addition to the executive desks, there is a selection of matching storage and meeting room furniture. A standard desk would costs on the area of £1,500.
Fascineo is a more classic range, available in Brown Mahogany, Light Oak or Honey Cherry veneer finish. These desks have a more traditional panel end in the same finish. The desk shapes are more rounded than the contemporary designs, and a full selection of boardroom and meeting room tables, as well as storage units is also available. A standard desk would cost about £1,000.
Cambridge is a very traditional executive office furniture range available in brown mahogany or cherry veneer. As well as traditional desks and returns, a wide range of boardroom tables and storage furniture is available, all from stock. A standard desk would cost in the region of £1,000.
Standard, built to order
Next up in the ranges we offer are built-to-order products like the Nimbus and Stratus desks, reception units and boardroom tables. These products offer a very wide range of veneer finishes, from traditional to exotic woods. Since they are built to order, delivery is about 4-6 weeks, but minor changes, for example to dimensions can be accommodated at extra cost. Pricing depends on size and finish, but expect to pay anything over £1,500 for a standard desk in this range.

We also offer a full bespoke service where we can build you furniture to your exact specifications.
