Executive office furniture generally falls into two main categories, contemporary and classic. The materials used in the construction of executive business furniture range from standard melamine-faced board, through glass, steel and aluminium to real wood veneers.
Modern melamine finishes are very hard wearing and are difficult to tell apart from real wood, so you might want to consider this as a low cost alternative to a veneer finish.
There are basically three different methods of supply of business furniture, some products are held in stock and can be delivered within a few days, others are standard products where the components are held by the manufacturer and the pieces of furniture are built to order – this can take from two to four weeks – and the third type is where the furniture is bespoke and built to your own specification. This is the most expensive method and delivery can take up to six to ten weeks from order.
CH Workspace has access to products in all these categories. The K.West range is stocked in a wide range of components so that you can effectively design your own desk to suit your own requirements. K.West is a
contemporary ‘square, slab’ design which is available in melamine, finished in Light or Dark Oak with optional sanded glass inserts. Naturally, a full range of matching furniture is available, including storage units and meeting room tables. A large desk with a full-size return in this range would cost in the order of £1,000.
The Miami range, also available from stock, is a more classic design in an Etimoe or Cherry finish. This range also has a full set of matching meeting and storage furniture. The desks are rectangular in a range of sizes with a link unit and computer table also available. A typical desk would cost in the order of £400.
It is very unusual for real wood veneer products to be held in stock and available for immediate delivery. Most of these products are either built to order or full bespoke models. CH Workspace has a number of wood veneer products held in stock.
Amongst these is the Times Square contemporary range available in natural light oak or dark oak wood veneer. This range is a very modern ‘arch’ leg design and has a wide range of options, including office storage and meeting room furniture. A typical Times Square desk with a return would cost in the region of £3,000.
The Cambridge range is a classic traditional range of executive office furniture available from stock in Mahogany and Cherry veneer. This is a very elegant design and has a wide range of matching storage and meeting furniture. An average desk with return would cost about £2,000.
At the very top of the range are the Nimbus and Stratus ranges handmade from a selection of top quality veneers. These are timeless classic pieces of furniture which are hand-built to your own specifications. Prices vary considerably depending on the size and selected veneer, but you should count on spending several thousand pounds, with a delivery time of six to eight weeks.
