A Buyers Guide to Operator Chairs
If you look in any office furniture catalogue you will find a wide range of operator chairs with a very wide range of prices. As with most things, you get what you pay for. If you buy a cheap operator chair you may well find that it is uncomfortable and will not last very long if you use them for long periods of time. These chairs are really designed for occasional rather than full time use.
Although you may well find operator chairs at less than £50, CH Workspace does not believe that a chair at this price can be suitable in a normal office furniture environment. Our office chairs start at about £100 and offer free delivery, full ergonomic adjustment and a five year guarantee.
The No 1 chair is available from stock in 12 different colours to suit any office environment. This chair has a permanent contact mechanism, lockable in any position. The backrest is fully adjustable by means of a handwheel. The basic chair does not have arms, but fixed or adjustable arms are available as an optional extra.
One of our most popular office chairs is the Vito range. With the Vito, you have a choice of a synchro or permanent contact mechanism. Standard features for additional ergonomic adjustment include adjustable body weight tension control, backrest reverse lock system and a seat depth adjustment system. Optional fixed or adjustable arms are available and the chair starts at about £120, delivered.
At the top end of the range is the Team chair. There are four different models to choose from in this range, starting with the Team Synchro. This has the normal adjustments you would expect from a quality office chair. The Team Progress adds a seat depth adjustment and the Team Progress Air adds a mesh fabric backrest. The Team range starts at about £200.
