Say goodbye to MT 40 and hello to Steel 4.0

After many years of successful sales and happy customers, The MT family of office furniture (MT20, MT30, MT40 and MT50) is finally to be pensioned off and is to be replaced by a more dynamic, but hopefully equally loved Steel range.

There are direct replacements for each of the MT ranges except for the humble MT20, which will have no replacement.  It has been decided that the wood modesty panel version of this range does not offer the same inherent rigidity and durability offered by it siblings which have either a steel modesty panel or an open beam support.

The leg detail on the new Steel furniture ranges differ slightly from the outgoing MT ranges, and there is a wider choice of finishes available from stock, but ostensibly the two ranges are very similar.
In bother cases the numeric section of the range name indicates the type of frame used on that range.
As before the 30 range (now Steel 3.0)  indicates that the range has a central I frame  leg frame and a open steel beam between the two leg frames.

Both the MT40 and MT50 and now the Steel 4.0 and 5.0 have a cantilever leg design, with the 4.0 denoting a steel modesty panel and 5.0 a steel central beam.

As before all of these products are available from stock and can usually be delivered and installed within a matter of days.
As you would expect with an evolution of a best selling product, the new range holds on to the simple and functional design offered by the old, but the range has been expanded and enhanced with additional desk shapes and sizes, finishes, and for the first time a full compliment of matching steel tambour units and wood finish storage units.

One of the few complaints of the old MT30 range was that the storage options, although cheap, were extremely limited, which in turn limited the usefulness of this range in larger applications. This problem has been comprehensively addressed with Steel 3.0 and the same applies to the Steel 4.0 and 5.0

Steel 6.0 office furniture

The relatively new addition to the old MT range was MT60, which only appeared late 2007.  This range appeared as a stock item, just as bench desks were becoming very popular in the UK market, and sales of the MT60 range rocketed. Apart from being a well designed, functional bench desking system, it offered cable management and system screens at prices which competed with entry level stand alone desks.

The replacement to this venerable range is MT 6.0 and in honour of its predecessor, we have kept the range virtually unchanged, only enhanced.

It still represents one of the best value for money range of bench desks in the market today, made even more attractive by the fact that it is available in large numbers, from stock
