Stylish bench desks from stock

CH Workspace are pleased to announce that we have another exciting range of bench desks which are

available from stock for delivery within a few days

The 4Work range has been with us in for a few years now, in the form of a range called 4Most, but now the range has been extended to provide some interesting options.

To begin with the  4Work  range  is available with either aluminium or jet black finish legs, with either a beech, oak, or white top. The legs have been designed for form as well as function, which is refreshing to see on an office furniture range.  Normally the legs are a fairly basic affair, and just designed to keep the desks from collapsing.

This time, the designers have gone to great length to make the leg detail an intricate part of the overall design, and in our opinion it works well.

Is it 2014 already?

We only just looked away for a few minutes and it seems that 2014 is already upon us.

All those plans we had, are still not much further ahead  than when we first thought of them.

And , as we all know, each year comes and goes at a faster speed than the previous one, meaning that we are less likely to get even what we got done last year, done this year.

So more than ever proper planning is essential to get the best out of your time. Simple plans with identifiable final goal and  staging posts. Technology  seems to make things change even faster so the only way to keep up is to keep things simpler and simpler.  Take Google and Seach Engine Optimisation for example.

It has taken much of last year just to work out what has been going on with the many  Google algorithm changes. Many businesses have suffered , and many search engine optimisation companies have called up offering another unique solution to our expected predicament.

Danny Buchan leads again

Once again Danny Buchan has managed to finish on the podium at what is arguably his worst track in the calendar. And he was riding a borrowed bike.

The Superstock 1000 cc race was the first one on the card at a wet and windy Thruxton on the bank holiday Monday, although thankfully the morning stayed dry enough for the race to be started on slicks.

Danny has managed a disappointing 8th place on the formation grid for the race, mainly due to having to spend so much time setting up the bike for this circuit ( this is the first time that Danny Buchan has raced a litre bike here)

The track is incredibly fast and equally incredibly bumpy, so it is very  important to get both the gearing and the suspension absolutely correct, which judging by Danny’s first few corners, is exactly what his mechanics had done.

By the end of the first lap Danny was lying 4th, hot on the back wheel of his teammate Howie Mainwaring , who was also doing very well, running in 3nd place.  At one point there was also another green zx10 in the mix at the front ridden by  Victor Cox

CHW sponsors Danny Buchan for 2011

Once again CHW( office furniture) is proud to be one of  Danny Buchans private sponsors for 2011.
Some of you may know that last year we also sponsored Danny who was riding in the British Superstock 600 class – a support class to the British Superbikes championship.

In 2010, Danny Buchan, as a rookie in this class, finished the season with an overall 3rd place, which, to be honest, could have been a first, had it not been for a cruel and unfortunate  engine misfire in the last race or the season at Oulton Park.

Still, a third place in the championship in a rookie year is a major achievement and has given  him the opportunity to ride in the Superstock 1000 class for 2011.

This year ( as last year) he will be riding for the MSS Colchester Kawasaki team, on the latest incarnation of the ZX10, which by all accounts is a state of the art machine, bristling with the most up to date cutting edge technology.

Office furniture on two wheels

CH Workspace has redesigned its logo for 2010 to coincide with its UK Motorcycle racing sponsorship this year.  The logo has been designed by Topright Design, a well known Graphic Design Company based near London, and reflects CH Workspace’s  connections with, and addiction to, all things mechanical.

CHW has been a customer of Topright Design for many years,  after meeting Adam Bloomfield, at a motor design exhibition. Ever since then both Topright Design and CH Workspace have worked closely together on many different projects, including the design and build of a one off custom vehicle prototype for a travelling office   furniture exhibition roadshow.

The latest for Topright Design has been to design the new  office furniture logo which is part of the sponsorship programme for a talented young motorcycle rider called Danny Buchan.

Danny Buchan is riding in the British Junior Superstock this year and the owners of CH Workspace are particularily pleased to be linked to Danny Buchan and his enthusiastic team.

Danny Buchan’s father, Jim,  has been a lifelong friend of the owners of the office   furniture company  and runs their transport, delivery and installation teams.

Office furniture in Colchester

CHW have been based a few miles from Colchester for  over seven years now and are proud to have a large number of local customers who have bought desks and chairs from us for their Colchester offices.

Whilst we offer a national delivery installation service for our whole furniture portfolio from one desk to a bespoke reception counter, it is always a pleasure to deal with local customers who live only a few miles from our head office, just outside Colchester.

The time saved travelling such a short distance means that we can spend more time on producing 3D renditions, and it is much easier to take along a desk or office chair samples for our customers to try out.

Colchester is one of the oldest towns in the UK, and the diversity of the buildings creates some interesting challenges for business furniture planning.

Modern reception areas and meeting rooms need plenty of space to look their best, and some of the rooms in the ancient Colchester buildings are really not suitable for contemporary furniture.

Also many modern office furniture ranges are man made light wood finishes on an aluminium frame, which really does not suit some of the older offices.

However, within our range we do have a good selection of traditional styled desks and executive chairs which perfectly suit some of the older properties in Colchester. Plus we are able to manufacture to customers own design in a wide range of wood veneers and other materials which might compliment the décor of the building.

Currently we do not have an office furniture showroom in Colchester, but do have many visitors to our ones in Reigate and Central London. These have proved to be very successful in allowing our customers to  see and feel the quality of our furniture ranges and our longer terms plans do include to have a significant display of office desks, chairs and storage items displayed in a central Colchester location, which we feel will greatly benefit us and our local customers.

So if you are based in Colchester and would like a visit for one of our friendly office furniture professionals please give us a call or contact us through our main website
