Most office furniture manufacturers are offering  their own version of a bench desking system, ranging from a simple linked desk design to a high end all singing  and dancing cable managed, sliding top affair.

But in general  the main similarity is that the desks are designed as double desk ( two desk facing each other)  setups which can share their end legs with neighbouring desks.

This offers two advantages in terms of price and space as not so many legs are needed when compared to a free standing desk setup.

“OPEN”  is a budget range of office furniture which offers everything that a basic  bench desk range would offer and a little more.

The desks sizes are comprehensive, as you would expect (80 cm, 120 cm, 140 cm, 160 cm and 180 cm)  the systems comes with integral cable management, and the desk frame has been designed to accept a wide variety of central dividing desk mounted screens.

CH Workspace are proud to add to their comprehensive range of office furniture products, and exciting new range called “Pure”.

Very minimalistic and stylish tubular legs make this range stand out from the average office desk. The simple but incredibly stable leg frames are kept upright by a steel welded beam which also hold the cable management systems.

This simplicity of design gives this range a clean uncluttered look: All that is there is all that needs to be there.

And to highlight this simplicity this desk frame is finished in a pure white powder coating for maximum effect, although there is a silver finish option if you are looking for a something even more state of the art.

Folding and Flip Top Tables

Folding and Flip Top Tables

As a major office furniture dealer, CH Workspace can supply a wide range of folding and flip top tables. Before you start, you need to consider the type of table you need.
Folding tables generally have legs that fold together under the table top, although there are exceptions to this rule as we will see later.
Flip-top tables have legs that stay upright, but a table top that flips from the horizontal to the vertical position.
Both flip-top tables and folding tables are generally modular in design, so that a group of tables can be pushed together to form a larger unit, including half-moon and curved units for table ends etc. Because they are designed to be mobile, most folding and flip-top tables have wheels or castors to enable them to be moved easily.

Linking kits and storage/transport trolleys are usually available for all of these types of table, please make sure that you enquire and that you are aware of the prices – storage trolleys can be quite expensive in relation to the tables themselves. Continue reading »

Traditionally styled executive office furniture is still very popular here in the UK, especially in wood finishes such as cherry or mahogany.  The main problem most buyers find is that quality veneer furniture is very expensive and it usually takes 6 to 8 weeks before it can be delivered to you. There are also not many places where you can go to actually see the range before making your decision.

But our Cambridge range has none of these disadvantages. Modern manufacturing methods have enabled us to produce this traditionally styled range at very old fashioned prices, plus the whole range is available from stock in both finishes.

Another exciting range of executive desks at remarkably low prices is the K West office furniture range from GDB International

Available in a white or brown oak finish, which looks like real wood, this range has to be one of the most well priced executive ranges in the market. The only problem is whether your office is big enough to take this furniture.

Big, solid slab end panels and 38mm thick tops give the impression of a traditional solid wood desk, and the giant pedestals do nothing to belie this image

Imitation wood desks have become so realistic that now it is possible to consider them for your executive offices. They are much cheaper than wood veneer and much more hard wearing.
Another advantage is that they are usually available from stock, as opposed to made to order, which is the norm with veneer office furniture, and this usually means a lead time of up to six weeks.

KYOS is a very affordable range, available from stock in a white or brown oak melamine finish with an aluminium finish steel leg frame. The worktops are 38mm thick with 2mm soft ABS protective edging, which gives this range a very substantial and solid look and feel.

Recent studies have shown that your office desk has over 400 times as many germs as a toilet seat. And your phone could be even worse.  Apparently the risk of getting a virus or food poisoning is greater at your office than at home or in a restaurant.  This is a disturbing revelation and we doubt that many people are aware of the risk.
So why is there such an increased risk and what can we do about it?

Bench desks on a budget

Buying furniture for your new telesales, call centre, or marketing department can be a costly business, as many of the products on the market are over-engineered or not suited to modern requirements.
But a new product has appeared on the market which could make your life a little simpler and cost you less than you had anticipated.

The product is a bench desk range called MT60 and is a derivative of the very popular and well priced budget range of MT office furniture which is available from stock for immediate delivery.
