This new range is in addition to our existing ranges of XPERT and XFILE Tambour units, and offers a you a good range of storage units at entry  level prices

The sizing of the units follows the format of our other ranges, with 3 width choices or 80, 100 and 120 cm. 

The heights of these tambours range from desk height to 2 metres high, with an option of overhead archive storage as well

The modern tambour cupboards have slatted doors which ‘roll’ into the side of the cupboard. Unlike earlier models, which rolled vertically, modern tambour mechanisms are reliable and maintenance free Taking up very little space in the side of the cupboard, they free up a lot of space at the front of the cupboard, unlike traditional swing door systems. Unlike some competitors cupboards, our tambours come with a full set of adjustable shelves. All of our shelves include fittings for standard lateral filing systems, so no optional extras are needed to fully equip our cupboards for standard filing. Naturally, specific shelves are available for specific purposes, for example the storage of computer media. We also have pull-out filing frames for vertical file storage, and special pull out library-type shelves for examining file contents. Our extensive tambour cupboard range has a wide variety of sizes, frame finishes and door finishes to match almost any office environment. Now that call centres are a standard part of the office furniture catalogue, we need to consider all the other furniture and equipment that is required to supplement the call centre desks. In call centres it is common that office workers are not allowed to take personal equipment such as mobile phones, laptop computers etc to their desks. They also need storage space for raincoats, umbrellas etc.
Many call centres use standard office lockers as suitable, secure storage for these personal items. The standard metal lockers used to be common in factory and workshop environments, but they needed a designer touch to be suitable for the normal office environment. Tambour cupboards are a recent innovation in office furniture. They are an excellent means of storing files, as well as general office storage such as stationary, brochures, supplies etc. The key feature of a tambour cupboard is that the doors are made from slats and they roll into the top or the side of the cupboard.

Originally they rolled up into the top of the cupboard, but this has recently been superseded by side-rolling doors. The old vertical mechanisms were prone to failure, they took up a lot of space and, because of the height of the cupboard, could be difficult for people of below average height to manipulate. The newer side opening doors take up much less space and are much easier to use.

Most offices have thought very carefully about the amount of general storage and filing capacity they need, but often forget about the smaller items which need to be safely stored.
Many of the tambour storage units in the market have accessories to deal with stationery, Data CDs, and card holders etc, but what about business stationery, order and requisition forms and other specialist paper products for their business.

Thankfully the versafile system of small storage drawers may be the answer.  The system comprises 3 basic, self contained drawer units, all with the same external dimensions, but having either 2 large drawer, 3 intermediate drawer, or 6 small drawers fitted inside it.

The entry level of office shelving is our multi-purpose shelving range, available with either blue or dark grey uprights and grey shelves. The system comprises a starter unit, with 4 uprights, to which can be added any number of add-on units.

These add-on units share two of the starter units uprights which increases storage space and keeps the overall costs down.  Each bay is around a metre in width and is supplied in standard heights of 100, 200 or 240 cm, although the uprights can be cut to any length on request.

The dinosaurs were great creatures. Large, bulky and cumbersome, they occupied  most continents in the  prehistoric world. They were at the top of the tree in evolutionary terms and nothing  questioned their presence, and then…..
A huge asteroid hit Earth and changed its climate cataclysmically; the lumbering and heavy-footed dinosaur could not keep up with the times and one by one they crashed to the ground, dying  from starvation.

 In less than 80 years they had become extinct; the only proof of their existence being a massive collection of dinosaur bones, buried deep under ground, all over the world.
