In addition to our main office furniture brochure which details over 30,000 products, all of which are available for delivery and installation within five days we now have a range of products which are held in local stock ready for immediate dispatch.

This range of office furniture includes  panel and I frame desking, desk height and under desk mobile pedestals,  all available in a wide range of desk top finishes  and styles.

The main two ranges are called WALTON and GANTON  and offer a very comprehensive range of desk sizes and shapes.

Both ranges also offer a variety of desk top finishes and well as some optional frame finishes where relevant

The Ganton range is a panel ended system which looks like a  traditional style of office desk, whereas the Walton range is a more contemporary style with I frame of corner legs frames.

We have made it very clear on our website and in these blogs that a large percentage of our office furniture products are available from stock in 5 to 7 working days, but what if you can’t wait that long.

What if you need a meeting table and chairs by tomorrow morning.
What is you have suffered an office  flood or a fire, and need to get up and running without delay, in a rented or borrowed office space.

A week may seem like a fast  delivery time but in these situations at might as well be a month.

So to help out our customers we have picked a few basic but comprehensive ranges of desks, office chairs, storage units and meeting tables, and have placed a substantial quantity of each item into a stock facility at both of our UK installation warehouses.

In general things do seem to be improving as we head into the summer months. The weather is better, the evenings are light until well after 9 o clock, and it is still relatively warm.

People in general seem a little  happier and now there is some sort of stability with our government.
Plus the football has started, and even if you are not an avid fan of the game itself, the international aspect of it always makes it worthy entertainment.

Business seems to be a lot more buoyant with lots of enquiries for office furniture, both from home and from businesses.

We have even had new orders from some of our customers in the house building trade, which is always a good sign that the economy is moving again.

CHW have been based a few miles from Colchester for  over seven years now and are proud to have a large number of local customers who have bought desks and chairs from us for their Colchester offices.

Whilst we offer a national delivery installation service for our whole furniture portfolio from one desk to a bespoke reception counter, it is always a pleasure to deal with local customers who live only a few miles from our head office, just outside Colchester.

The time saved travelling such a short distance means that we can spend more time on producing 3D renditions, and it is much easier to take along a desk or office chair samples for our customers to try out.

Colchester is one of the oldest towns in the UK, and the diversity of the buildings creates some interesting challenges for business furniture planning. 

Modern reception areas and meeting rooms need plenty of space to look their best, and some of the rooms in the ancient Colchester buildings are really not suitable for contemporary furniture.

Also many modern office furniture ranges are man made light wood finishes on an aluminium frame, which really does not suit some of the older offices.

However, within our range we do have a good selection of traditional styled desks and executive chairs which perfectly suit some of the older properties in Colchester. Plus we are able to manufacture to customers own design in a wide range of wood veneers and other materials which might compliment the décor of the building.

Currently we do not have an office furniture showroom in Colchester, but do have many visitors to our ones in Reigate and Central London. These have proved to be very successful in allowing our customers to  see and feel the quality of our furniture ranges and our longer terms plans do include to have a significant display of office desks, chairs and storage items displayed in a central Colchester location, which we feel will greatly benefit us and our local customers.

We are pleased to announce that our new 2010 brochure is now out and as well as offering new additions to many of our long standing furniture ranges, also has some very interesting and exciting products. So we have listed a few here, just to whet you appetite.

First of all, and finally after many requests from our customers, we have produced a desk side full height storage unit called a Tower pedestal. 

This gives employees much more storage space for private and business items, and doubles as a screen between the next desk in an open plan office.

Although primarily designed for use with our 4most bench system, these units are available in a steel or wood finish and can be adapted to work with most ranges of office furniture. Continue reading »

Furniture manufacturers don’t usually sell directly to end users, they normally have a network of dealers and re-sellers and most business furniture dealers have a large number of manufacturers on their books.
