WORKTOPS
Made from 38 mm thick particle board (average density approx. 600 Kg/m3).
Available in three choices of finish: French Apple, Pear and Light Oak. All tops are covered on both surfaces in HPC (identical).
Straight edges on all sides protected by 3 mm thick strips of ABS (radius of curvature 3 mm).
Tops are attached to the frame of the desk by means of screws and metal inserts.
Designer ABS cable port covers (70 x 70 mm) made up of three elements. Cable ports 60 mm in diameter.
LEGS
Legs are available in three versions: standard (fixed), height-adjustable and castor-mounted.
A) Standard legs - for a worktop surface height of 733 mm. Made from steel in a quarter circular design, standard legs are each made up of the following three elements :
1) a laser cut steel top plate (5 mm in thickness), fitted with 19 mm oblong holes for attachment of the worktop. This plate is fixed to the upright by means of two M8 metric screws for maximum stability. The oblong perforations
enable tops to be fitted in two positions, allowing legs to be shared by two or more desks. Multiple tops can be fitted flush with each other or in such a way as to leave a space between them of 20 mm, perfect for the attachment of accessories such as desktop screens or for the routing of wires and cables.
2) an upright, made from sheet steel (2 mm in thickness), cut and folded into an L shape, then welded at the top and bottom on to steel spacers (6 mm in thickness).
3) a curved, clip-on sheet steel panel (6 mm in thickness), which forms the inner quarter circular face of the leg and conceals the wiring routed vertically within it. This panel is fitted at the top and bottom with removable ABS covers, allowing cables to be fed in an out.
Stabilizer feet (Ø 38 mm) made from injection-moulded polypropylene. Adjustable through 15 mm by means of an M8×20 threaded bolt.
Standard legs are available in four choices of finish: Aluminium, Graphite Grey, Mouse Grey and Copper.
B) Height-adjustable legs – adjustable by means of a screw mechanism to give a worktop surface height of between 613 mm and 853 mm. Height-adjustable legs differ from their standard counterparts only in the construction of the upright section, as follows:
- Comprising two pieces of sheet steel (2.5 mm in thickness), folded and welded together to create a fixed section and two pieces of sheet steel (3 mm in thickness) folded and welded together to create a sliding section.
- The design of the fold allows one section to slide inside the other.
- Legs are adjustable at 20 mm intervals by means of a hexagonal head screw.
Height-adjustable legs are available in two choices of finish: Aluminium or Graphite Grey.
C) Castor-mounted legs - for a worktop surface height of 733 mm. Castors 75 mm in diameter.
Castor-mounted legs are identical in construction to their standard counterparts, differing only in the dimensions of the upright section. This is to allow for attachment of the 75 mm diameter castors, which are fitted with a braking mechanism.
Castor-mounted legs are available in two choices of finish: Aluminium or Graphite Grey.
CABLE MANAGEMENT
Vertical:
1) Within the legs, behind the removable metal cover.
- Usable dimensions: width 60 mm x depth 30 mm in the case of standard and castor-mounted legs, 60 x 20 mm in the case of height-adjustable legs. Cables can be fed in and out through openings in the removable cover.
- Usable dimensions of opening: width 25 mm x height 35 mm.
On the desktop, by means of a cable port fitted with two part removable cover.
- Opening 60 mm in diameter.
- The central gap (50 x 15 mm, oval in shape) between the two removable parts of the cable port cover is large enough to accommodate three 8 mm cables or two 12 mm cables.
2) By means of articulated vertebral cable holders. Made from flexible plastic, and with two channels 64 mm in diameter, these cable holders can be positioned at any point beneath the work surface and attached using a wood screw. Each cable holder is fitted with a cast iron counterweight in the base.
Horizontal :
By means of articulated, dual channel ABS cable troughs. Troughs can be positioned anywhere beneath the work surface and are attached using a wood screw.
- Overall dimensions: width 305 mm x depth100 mm x height 55 mm.
- Usable dimensions of each channel: width 38 mm x height 40 mm.
These items are sold in sets of three and are designed to be joined together to create the required overall length of trough.
OPTIONAL MODESTY PANELS
For attachment to the visitor’s side of the desk, modesty panels are made from sheet steel (0.8 mm in thickness) and decorated with grooves. Two vertical braces (brackets 2 mm in thickness) are welded to the inner face of the panel.
The panel is attached to the underside of the desktop by means of two wood screws. Two pre-drilled holes in the underside of the desktop ensure that it is fitted in the correct position.
Total height beneath desktop: 280 mm.
Aluminium finish.
