Ergonomic chairs – affordable comfort

The term ergonomic in chair design usually means that the chair had been designed with comfort and adjustability in mind, in preference to just price.  This usually means much better value for the customer who is prepared to pay a little more for a properly designed chair.
This article is about a range of ergonomic chairs called “Team”, which we feel is one of the best value for money chairs available in the market.

Stylish, well priced, superior comfort, intelligent model range, and all available from stock for delivery in a matter of days.

Even the base model in the range has a synchronomic adjustment mechanism, which means that the backrest and seat base move in conjunction which each other, when you leave the backrest of the chair in the unlocked setting.

This linked movement allows you to use the chair as it should be used, which is with the back rest permanently in the free floating position. From our experience most chair users do not do this as they find it uncomfortable, which it is, if you have a cheap chair with a basic free floating mechanism.

A decent ergonomic chair with a synchronomic mechanisms will change your perceptions about comfort, and your risk from back pain and more potentially serious problems in the future will be reduced.

The range has been intelligently thought out with 3 chair options.

The first is a cloth upholstered chair with the option of standard or height adjustable armrests, adjustable body weight tension control and backrest reverse lock system.
This chair also has the benefit of an adjustable lumbar support system.
The price range for this chair is between £199 and £280 depending on armrest and fabric choice.

The next level up is the Team Progress, which has everything that the base chair has with the additional benefit of a seat slide mechanism. Also the body weight tension control system is on the side of the chair, for easy access. (they are normally found underneath the chair).
The height adjustable armrests are multifunction in that they adjust for width, height and depth, and the arm-pads have a “soft feel” finish for added comfort.

Prices range from £240 to £330 for the Team Progress ergonomic chair.

Go up one more level and you are presented with the Team Progress Air chair, with a stylish mesh backrest supported on an aluminium extruded frame.

Mesh backed chairs are popular because they really mould to your back for added support and comfort and are very cool in the summer. The stretchy fabric brings a new level comfort and support to the user, and you really should try one out to see just how comfortable they are.

All of the features found on the Team Progress chair are also found on this chair, and the mesh back option puts this chair in the £280 and £376

The top level Team chair is the Team Executive which is one of the most comfortable chairs we have tried for a long while.

The backrest is much longer than on any of the other chairs and extends down below the seat base of the chair.

There is no adjustable lumbar support on this chair, but instead the backrest is adjustable in height on a ratchet system, which means you can move the curved lumbar support area to where its needed.

An advanced synchronomic mechanism on this chair make this one of the most comfortable and best value for money ergonomic armchairs in the market.
This chair is available in either fabric or a very soft black leather and prices range from £391 for fabric upholstery to £450 for the leather version.

Each level of chair also has the option of a black or silver 5 star base to complete the picture of the perfect (and affordable) ergonomic office chair.
