Lamb Macintosh Totem

Totem has been created by the Lamb Macintosh design team to offer a unique and original selection of office furniture that puts its own personal stamp onto the items in order to produce a distinctive style. Consisting of a combination of stand alone, swing wing and Hub desking units, as well as executive and occasional tables and accessories, this diverse range of desking units provide a unique focal point for any office interior, and is available in a selection of different surface finishes and shapes. From titanium through to wood veneers, and an optional glass surface to enhance circular, oval, square and rectangular shaped tops, with metallic or panel structured legs and sub-frames. Cable management facilities, desk top screens, storage units and light fittings are just a few examples of the kinds of accessories that are supplied within the Totem collection, all of which have been specifically designed to co-ordinate with the desking units to create a streamlined office interior.

The Stand alone desk tops are available in a range of different shapes and sizes, depending on the intended purpose and style of your choice of desking unit. The stand alone desks come in rectangular, convex, concave, curved and oval designs, all with a choice of either panelled or pencil shaped legs. Additional pedestals are also available in place of legs, providing optional storage facilities ready built in. Occasional, conference and executive tables from Totem provide offices with a selection of larger desk units designed to accommodate any number of people. The conference tables use a barrel shaped design, with interlocking central panels to enable the structure to be effectively extended when required, whilst the occasional tables favour a smaller and more rounded surface, set low to the ground to function as more of a coffee table structure. The executive tables have a metallic structure with a circular or oval surface design, designed to seat roughly two to four people at any one time.

Swing Wing tables from the innovative Totem collection of office furniture are streets ahead of their time, providing you with a virtual office contained within a single piece of desking. The main desk unit is set on one panelled leg, and comes in a choice of either a straight, curved or oval shape, with wood veneer or glass material finishes. The wing unit provides the support for one side of the desk unit, and is a credenza unit with a surface slightly lower than that of the desk top. The innovative structure saves space by becoming a multi-functional unit, allowing support, storage and surface space to reside next to one another. The credenza attachment is set on castors, and its angle in relation to the main desk unit can be altered to best fit in with the floor-plan of your office with no need for tools. Modesty panels are optional extras, attaching to the main desk unit to create a more symmetrical and streamlined effect.

Leaning and ceiling structures have been created by Totem to provide a suitable solution to the common problem of storage within offices. The storage units are diverse and visually appealing, designed to co-ordinate with the Totem collection of desking units and simultaneously provide a functional storage area that can be effectively used within a typical office environment. Types of storage such as shelving, cupboards, pedestals and tambours have all been developed, each type offering a different purpose and use. The shelving units are made using glass shelving units held by a metallic structure that is either attached to the floor and ceiling, or is a leaning frame supported by a lower box frame. The tambours and cupboards both have a metallic outer shell, although the tambour has metallic sliding doors, whilst the cupboards have either wooden doors or drawers, both come in a selection of different sizes. The pedestals are compact and set on castors for ease of movement, and are a perfect addition to any office space.
