High Density Desks This is not about putting too many desks in an office, but new office furniture technology where the board used to make office desks and furniture is made of particles ( wood, paper, or plastic pellets) which have been compressed and incredibly high temperatures to produce a very heavy but slim board. Current woodchip based board is 25mm thick in order to offer enough rigidity and strength to hold screw inserts etc, but this new technology can produce board with the same strength at half of the thickness. The edges of the board can be routed or machined to give a very modern and stylish appearance. In some cases the leg fixing which are fitted into the board are designed to go straight through the board, and are finished as a feature. This means that asymmetrical desk tops can be either left or right handed simply by flipping over the desk top. This makes configuring your office much easier and more cost effective.
