Prestige Square Glass Table
Diamond Desk
  • Glass surface
  • Metallic or wooden legs
  • Square design

The Diamond Desk units are ergonomically designed using classic shapes and materials with a modern twist. Their original combination of glass and wood veneer materials along with the option of metal legs create a fresh and contemporary ambience within any office space, and is neutral enough not to overpower the surrounding environment.
Prestige and Diamond Desks

Prestige and Diamond are two sub-sections of office furniture that reappear throughout the range of executive office furniture, maintaining the same essential structure, but adapting to the different collections in which it appears. The desks in the Noveum collection have been created using a combination of glass and wood veneer, with straight standard legs in either wood veneer or metallic material. Depending on which desk unit you select, there are matching return units and storage units that can be attached as an extension unit, and the wood veneer is available in either light oak or wenge to create the desired appearance.

Desk frame design. The majority of desks are supported by a simple steel structure based on one of three designs. The first is a basic tubular leg design with one in each corner, just like a domestic table. Simple, cheap, and effective but it does have one problem in that the legs either side of the user can be a hindrance on curved or linked desks. The next design is the C frame where the vertical support is placed toward the visitor side of the desk and two horizontal sections are welded to it to support the desk. This gives good access but sometime can be too flexible because of the cantilever design. The third option is an I frame design where the central support leg is in the middle of the end of the desk top, with two horizontal sections welded to it. This give superior strength, and enough access space, and as the design is inherently more stable than the C frame the bottom support can be made shorter that the one under the desk, to improve the style and ease of use. Most office desks using a steel support structure also have cable management built into them.
