Office furniture steel finishes
Most steel items used in the office furniture industry are finished in an epoxy powder coating for durability and style. Popular standard finishes are currently light grey and dark grey, whilst the more stylish graphite and silver are becoming much more popular.
The purchaser should always remember, however, that not all manufacturers’ colours are the same. On the standard colour chart there are over 20 different shades and finished of silver, and the same applies to most colours. Manufacturers will choose whatever colour they feel appropriate for their office furniture range. Sometimes the difference in two silvers is so great that it is unacceptable to the customer so care should be taken to ensure that the BSI references of the paint finish are compatible.
