For regular cleaning simply wipe melamine, laminate or High Protection Coated desks with a damp cloth or for more stubborn marks use warm soapy water. Never use any form of scouring powders and it is best to avoid abrasive scourers or solvents. Edges which perhaps attract more dirt can be cleaned with warm soapy water in the same way. Wood veneers should be treated with a little more care as by their nature they are softer and more prone to scratching. They can be cleaned with a soft cloth but always take care to rub in the direction of the grain and if possible avoid exposure to very bright light.
