Office screens Screens can be used in various ways to help improve the design and layout of offices and there are numerous types and styles available. In simple terms screens will be either desk mounted or floor standing and it depends on the application as to which is the best to use. Desk mounted screens are ideal where desks are used in blocks of two or more as they can be used to define the desk space for the individual whilst providing a degree of privacy. Desk mounted screens can also be fitted with toolbars to allow accessories to be lifted off the desk making better use of the space. Floor standing screens can be used to divide offices into departments or perhaps define a corridor and we have also used them very effectively to create breakout rooms within large open plan offices. These breakout rooms can use quite low screens or can use a higher screen system with sound absorbing foam and doors fitted to provide a far greater degree of privacy. This last system can be particularly useful in listed buildings where there are restrictions on attaching partition systems to either the walls or the ceilings.
