Partition styles
The most practical partition system is a demountable metal frame type that allows the walls to be taken down and if necessary moved or reconfigured. A basic aluminium demountable system will usually be around 50mm thick and can be supplied as full height solid, half or part glazed or fully glazed. Glazing can be both single or double glazed and blinds can be added to give privacy to offices or meeting rooms as required. A 50mm thick system will offer basic levels of soundproofing and probably lower levels of fire resistance. A 75mm or 100mm thick partition system can be supplied with the same options for solid or glazed walls but will provide higher levels of soundproofing and can also offer 30 or 60 minute fire resistance.
