Call Centres
The design of call centres has changed over the years, due mainly to technology.
In the beginning, Call centres comprised large workstations to handle the sizeable computer screens and telephone systems, and had tall, thick fabric screens between each desk, in order to minimise the amount of intrusive background noise.
Currently we are more likely to see compact call centres with LCD screen with telephone technology built into the computer screen. The user wears a set of noise cancelling headphones as each work area is separated by a glass or acrylic panel to allow more light into the work area. The CPU’s are hidden away under the desk, as these have also become much smaller and hugely more powerful.
