Reconfigurable furniture We are seeing more and more of these used in areas which used to be defined as boardrooms. It seems that companies nowadays cannot justify rooms which are used very infrequently and are opting for reconfigurable furniture. It is always worth investigating this idea, although you must decide for what the room will be used, for 80% of the time. For instance if the room is used 90% by the directors for high level board meetings, and meetings with important clients, then using reconfigurable tables would be a hindrance as all of the additional legs and linking brackets would get in the way. On the other hand, if the same room was used for health and safety training, induction courses, or informal receptions, then a large fixed boardroom table would not be practical.
