Boardroom table care. Despite technological progress wood or wood veneer tables and furniture still need to be looked after more carefully than a man made finish. Technology has improved the look and feel of man made finishes to such a degree that it is difficult to tell whether they are real wood or not. Most veneers do not need wood polish any more as they are now coated with a hard wearing urethane finish which only requires wiping with a damp cloth. However most veneer furniture will darken in direct sunlight so care must be taken. The surface of the boardroom table or desk will scratch very easily, and spilt liquids will leave stains which are impossible to remove. A man made finish will have none of these disadvantages, and will be much cheaper.
