Wood Veneer For a high quality finish wood veneer is the ideal option but the choices available are vast. Furniture is no longer manufactured from solid timbers but rather a thin veneer of wood is used to create the illusion of a solid product. The veneers or slithers of wood are taken from the tree and then stitched and linked together similar to origami before being bonded to either MDF or Chipboard. A balancing veneer is applied to the underside of the board to prevent warping or deformation of shape before the boards are sanded, polished and lacquered to produce a high quality finish.
