Floor Standing Screens Floor standing screens can be used to provide privacy in open plan areas, either for individual desks or to create meeting areas, reception areas etc. They are a flexible alternative to traditional walls, and can also be used where lease conditions etc prevent permanent modifications to the building. They can be obtained in fabric, glass or plastic finishes, which can be combined for additional flexibility. Part-glazed screens can be used where light is an issue for internal areas of open plan offices. Curved units can also provide an additional feature. They can also be used to surround noisy equipment, eg printers and copiers, kitchen areas etc. Specific sound-absorbing materials can also be employed to significantly reduce noise in busy areas, eg call centres, large open plan offices etc.
