Synchronous chair mechanism A synchronous chair mechanism is designed to provide the user with the optimum levels of comfort at all times. The mechanism is ideally suited to an individual using a computer for a major part of their working day. The mechanism works because the seat and backrest of the chair are separate from each other but move together. For every one degree that the backrest moves the seat will move two degrees and the chair will be set in a free-float manor so that it can move as the user moves. The aim of this type if mechanism is to allow the computer operator to move freely rather than sit in a fixed position but more importantly maintain correct posture throughout the day. This can only be achieved with a chair offering dynamic movement.
