Types of wood veneer
There are as many types of wood veneer available as there are types of tree but some are in more common use than others. With increasing concern for the environment most manufacturers of mass produced product will ensure that any veneers they choose will be selected from sustainable sources. This concern for the environment has led to many changes in the type of wood veneer used and many more traditional finishes have now fallen out of favour. It is unlikely that you will find Rosewood or Teak furniture when woods such as Walnut, Oak and Kevisinga are more readily available.
