Noisy neighbours
t seems that every office has one person who shouts rather than speaks, and who crashes into their chair, rather than sits in it. They are always shuffling papers and tapping keyboards for inspiration, and constantly muttering, whistling or humming.
This causes you frustration and lost concentration. It is a very difficult situation to address as even sound absorbing screens and repositioning desks will not make enough difference in what is usually a quite office. Once you have applied all the standard methods of sound reduction, a senior member of staff needs to discuss the matter with the person causing the problem to explain the consequences of his actions.
