Glass office furniture There has been an increased interest in glass furniture over the past few years and most manufacturers have responded well to it. This trend seems to imply that customers are more interested in the style and design of the furniture, than its function or price. Glass desks will always be more expensive than an equivalent sized steel and MFC desk. It is always going to be more of a problem to handle your cable management requirements within a glass desk than a more traditional one, and they are more likely to be damaged in transportation and less forgiving in assembly. Having said that, the manufacturers are overcoming the inherent problems of a transparent desk and are building cable management trays and outlets to look like a stylish part of the desk support frame. Also by etching parts of the underside of the desk, the cable can be disguised and the eye drawn away from this unsightly mess.
