Soundproofing meeting rooms When choosing your partition system to build a meeting room soundproofing is usually very important. A higher specification folding wall system will be needed to provide a good level of soundproofing and prevent one meeting being overheard in the next room but it is also important to consider the building itself. Many modern offices will have suspended ceilings with recessed lighting and air conditioning units and this will often allow sound to travel through the ceiling void into the next room. In these cases a baffle will need to be constructed in the ceiling void above the party walls or folding wall to prevent the sound travelling through this void.
