Office Furniture Finishes
There are several types of desk top finish on the market and each has advantages and disadvantages. The three main types used in commercial office furniture are melamine, laminate and wood veneer. For the majority of offices a melamine finish will be ideal as they are incredibly hard wearing. Melamine will also offer continuity of colour or finish so there are no difficulties in matching products later on. Laminates might be required for technical reasons but otherwise have many of the properties of melamine. Wood veneers offer a more luxurious finish and might be used in executive offices, boardrooms or reception areas.
