Beam desk frames verses modesty panel. Most of our office furniture ranges are available in two standard options ; a beam frame of a frame using a structural modesty panel. Both are good systems offering a rigid structure at an affordable price, but the beam system offers one valuable advantage in that the central support section is a C channel steel section, and the open side of it allows you to run all of your cabling and plugs etc inside the beam. This is especially useful when desks are place together in groups of two or more. The steel modesty panel still offers as much rigidity but not the inbuilt cable facility. It is however more suited where desks face into the main office, and plastic cable trunking can be added if required.
