Frame finishes

Desk design – steel subframe. Many desks now have a full steel frame under the desk top. This can be made in many ways but the most common is an I or C shaped leg frame, made from steel box section, into which slots or is fixed a horizontal beam, Once bolted together this produced a very strong beam frame onto which the desk top is bolted. There is no need to add rigidity to the structure with a modesty panel, but one can be added as an option. The horizontal beam is usually and open C shape with the open section facing the user of the desk. The advantage of this is that the open space can be used for cable management and storage of chargers and transformers.
