Office furniture care
Most modern furniture products are now finished in such a way that there is not much to do to look after the furniture. Modern desk tops are usually man made, and all they require is a wipe with a damp cloth every few days, just to keep the surface clean. Spray polishes are not required, and may even make the surface too reflective. Even wood veneer finishes are now factory sprayed in a breathable urethane finish, which needs nothing more than a wipe with a damp cloth. Using wax or spray lacquer cleaners may even reduce the breathability of the finish and cause problems in the future. Even drawer runners and seat mechanisms are factory lubricated and sealed to last for the expected life of the furniture product.
