Office safety – Anti-tilt kits Most office furniture storage ranges include this facility as standard to reduce the possibility of a storage unit toppling forward when more than one drawer is opened at the same time. The risk is much greater when the storage unit is wide and narrow, as the centre of gravity can move forward very easily. Filing cabinets are almost always supplied with an anti-tilt device as standard, but the potential risk occurs when standard cupboards are converted at later date to accept pull out filing frames. Some of these are designed to be used singly in each storage unit, but the customer may not be aware of this. Anti tilt mechanisms can be added, but this is a specialist job requiring a profession fitter to undertake.Your office furniture dealer will be able to assist you in this area.
